Presented in the heart of Europe’s classical music capital, the WIEN KLASSIK International Piano Forum offers young pianists an inspiring artistic experience centered on performance, musical growth, and international exchange.
Taking place in Vienna from August 1–3, 2026, the academy brings together distinguished professors from Austria’s leading music institutions for an intensive program of masterclasses, lectures, and performances. Designed for advanced students, young artists, and passionate pianists from around the world, the academy provides a unique opportunity to study within Vienna’s rich musical tradition while developing artistic individuality in an international environment.
The program will conclude with a Gala Concert in the historic Alten Rathaus, one of Vienna’s most celebrated concert venues, offering selected participants the opportunity to perform in a hall deeply connected to the city’s musical heritage.

Program Highlights
Individual Masterclasses
Participants will receive individual lessons with internationally distinguished piano professors from Vienna’s leading music institutions. The masterclasses focus not only on technical refinement and stylistic interpretation, but also on artistic individuality, stage presence, and musical communication. Students are encouraged to explore their own artistic voice within a supportive and inspiring international environment.
Faculty Lectures & Artistic Discussions
In addition to individual instruction, the academy offers faculty lectures and open artistic discussions addressing topics such as interpretation, practice methods, performance psychology, artistic development, and the realities of a modern musical career. These sessions provide participants with valuable insight into the artistic philosophies and professional experiences of internationally active performers and educators.
Gala Concert at Alten Rathaus
Selected participants will have the opportunity to perform in the historic Alten Rathaus, one of Vienna’s most iconic concert venues. The final gala concert offers young musicians the experience of presenting their artistry in a professional concert hall environment deeply connected to Vienna’s rich musical tradition and cultural history.
Access to Faculty Concerts
Participants will have access to faculty performances and artistic presentations by internationally renowned pianists and professors. These concerts provide inspiration through direct exposure to high-level artistry and offer valuable opportunities to observe different interpretative approaches, musical traditions, and performance styles within Vienna’s international musical scene.

Scholarships
Outstanding participants may be awarded merit-based scholarships ranging from 10% to 30% of the tuition fee, based on artistic level and audition evaluation.
